Your passport is the only document that identifies you as an Indian citizen in other countries. If a country impose ban on your passport mean, you will be unable to live or work in that country.

UAE has 2 types of bans:

1. Immigration ban
2. Employment / Work permit / Labour Ban

Immigration ban prevent individuals from countries except UAE and GCC ( Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Bahrain and Oman) from entering any UAE emirates. If you are denied entrance, it means your passport has an Immigration ban.

If you came to UAE with an employment Visa and later you break terms in job / employment contract or with out any reason you quit the job and gone back to your country, then there are chances that you get an Employment / Labour ban. Labour ban can last for 6 months to one year.
